Copywriting Portfolio

A sampling of the marketing content I’ve written during my career. At Salesforce, I typically worked closely with a Sr. Art Director in developing content. Prior to Salesforce, I worked at smaller companies, and often served as the de facto creative and product marketing lead in addition to writing copy.

Examples from  Salesforce:

Agentforce AI Agent Homepage Chatbot: Lead Writer – In 2024 I wrote dozens of Knowledge Articles that trained the AI agent and established a framework for the brand voice, style, and length of its answers. This work helped prove out the AI agent chatbot internally, and led to the Beta launch of Agentforce on the Salesforce homepage; Agentforce is now a prominent part of the homepage.

‘Be a Trailblazer’ Landing Page – This was a component of a major Salesforce marketing campaign. It involved a large company investment in digital and social ads, all of which sent visitors to this page. I developed the copy working with a wide range of stakeholders, finally presenting, and getting approval from the then EVP of Global Marketing, who is now the CMO at a major CRM company.

Marquee Banner on the Salesforce Home Page – I was on the Digital Creative Team, which managed creative on the index page of salesforce.com. I owned copy for the highest-profile spot, the marquee, which was reserved for the most business-critical events, product releases, and company announcements. A few examples of copy that I wrote:

Salesforce Resource Center Article – These are substantive top-of-funnel pieces designed to help prospects understand how to use and benefit from Salesforce products. This was one of the first long-form pieces to detail how to use Sales Cloud with Slack, which was still a recent acquisition at that point.

Ghostwritten Salesforce Blog – Worked with Marketing M&A on creating thought leadership content around the technology of a newly-acquired company. Collaborated with SMEs and product owners to author a Salesforce 360 Blog on verifiable credential technology.

Examples from Digimarc:

Content Marketing Piece – Three-part “History of Packaging” series I conceived, wrote, and project-managed; designed to help consumer goods companies and package suppliers understand how the company’s new technology fit within the history of packaging technology.

Lead Gen White Paper  – Researched, wrote, and led creative direction for this seven-page white paper, designed to both generate sales leads, and help expand Digimarc’s authority and thought leadership credentials in the counterfeit protection space.

Employee Blog Profile Series – A series of blog profiles I pitched and developed to support the company’s goal of helping customers, shareholders, and potential applicants understand more about the human talent at the company. See two other examples of the profiles, here and here.

Ghostwritten Magazine Article for VP of Marketing – Worked closely with the V.P. to develop a thought leadership piece for the grocery industry that would place the company’s technology at the center of new customer behavior around digital and mobile technology.

Press Release – Partnered with the Edelman PR team to develop dozens of press communications. I was typically the lead writer, in consultation with Edelman, the V.P. of Marketing, and the C.E.O. Two other examples, here and here.

Content Marketing Piece – A fun, narrative-driven piece to help prospects understand how Digimarc technology fits into a historical context of math and art being a unity.
